seems like a kanye west-type lyricist in terms of the religiosity but minus some of the glam and with a hardcore, but feminine touch. this girl doesn’t mess around. whether that’s good or bad is undetermined.
on her webpage she writes that her song “shahreh gomshodeh” is a mix of rap and opera about human beings and war. it’s a beautifully (and eerily) produced song about the consequences of war. the lyrics are really depressing. honestly, though, i cringe at some of her other lyrics about spirituality/heaven/war/foreign relations with america.

you can hear her music here.
