7:00 am
Matthew, pacing and stimming in my room while I put on my socks and shoes
Mom? Mom. Why does daddy have this big silver thing in here?

That’s the safe for the business.

Oh. So no robbers will get it?

Right.

Mom? Mom. How about I can dig and dig and dig and I’ll finally find you a diamond and then I will wash and wash it and it will be all pretty and I’ll put it in daddy’s, daddy’s. wait. what is that silver thing again?

A safe.

Right. at safe. Why do they call it a safe?

Because it keeps things safe from robbers.

Oh. yeah. now I know. I’m going to put the diamond in the safe and when a robber comes, he’s going to try to open it but the alarm? the alarm is going to Beep Beep Beep curiously, it really sounded just like an alarm! No kidding

and then I’m going to know that a robber came and I’ll go HIYA! and I’ll karate chop him *making karate chop movements* and I’ll fight him all up and then I’ll get daddy’s bb gun and I’m going to say ‘hands up or I’ll shoot!’ and the robber? he’s going to put his hands up *puts up hands to demonstrate* and then I’ll get my handcuffs… wait. mom? do I have any handcuffs?

no.
